I watched Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (downloaded a videotaped-in-the-theatre version with added fansubs). Incredibly beautiful (and old-school Disneyesque - hand drawn!) animation, imagery, and music; adorable characters. Adam is devouring the new Macross Frontier anime. I've watched a couple episodes, and it's okay - I wish the plot was more interesting/had more going on. The characters and the story lack substance. Adam and I saw the Simpsons movie. It was fucking hilarious. I laugh really loud -- when I used to live in residence at UBC, the girls on my floor would be like, "Oh, Marlo's watching the Simpsons again." My face hurt from laughing so much by the end.
